Srinagar, Feb 06 (KNS):Young Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers are taking the forefront in driving the development agenda of the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (UT) government under the dynamic leadership of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.Handpicked based on their performance and potential, these officers are playing pivotal roles in bringing about transformative change across various sectors, according to senior officials.The administration, led by LG Manoj Sinha, recently delegated crucial responsibilities to a cadre of young and promising officers in the administration, marking a significant shift towards injecting fresh perspectives and energy into key administrative roles across various departments.The LG administration emphasized the importance of empowering young officers, stating, “Youthful energy combined with dedication and competence forms the cornerstone of effective governance. By entrusting significant responsibilities to young officers, we are not only providing them with opportunities to showcase their capabilities but also infusing new zeal into the administration.”These young officers are entrusted with responsibilities that span a wide spectrum of crucial areas, including infrastructure development, public service delivery, healthcare, education, and rural development.The government’s approach in allocating postings to officers based on their performance underscores a clear message: deliver results or face consequences. This merit-based system rewards excellence and ensures accountability within the administrative machinery.Dr. Bilal Mohi ud Din Bhat, the newly appointed District Commissioner of Srinagar, has wasted no time in initiating developmental projects in the city, reflecting the administration’s proactive stance towards governance. Athar Aamir Khan, known for his role in Srinagar’s Smart City transformation, assumed the position of District Commissioner of Kulgam, prioritizing various developmental agendas to uplift the region.Dr. Shahid Iqbal Chowdhary, Administrative Secretary for the Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, and Dr. Syed Abid Rashid, Administrative Secretary for Health and Medical Education, are spearheading critical initiatives in their respective departments.Other young officers holding pivotal positions and contributing significantly to the development of their respective districts include Mohammad Aijaz, Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar, Faz Lul Haseeb, Basharat Qayoom, Akshay Labroo, Ayushi Sudan, Owais Ahmad, and Shyambir.The proactive approach of these officers has led to notable advancements across various sectors in Jammu and Kashmir over the past three years under Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s leadership. The focus on road infrastructure, attracting investments, and generating employment opportunities has enhanced overall prosperity and well-being in the Union Territory.
