In a transformative initiative, Government Degree College Hajin played host to “Yuva Vani,” an awareness program orchestrated by the Department of Agriculture. Held on Thursday in the prestigious conference hall of GDC Hajin, the event aimed to captivate the educated youth, steering their focus towards the promising realm of agripreneurship.

The program unfolded with a fervent call to rural youth, urging them to consider agriculture not merely as a traditional pursuit but as a viable full-time or part-time profession, promising lucrative returns. Experts, serving as catalysts for change, motivated participants to transition from job seekers to job providers, advocating the adoption of projects under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP).

Participants were enlightened about key initiatives such as Kisan Sathi and Daksh Kisan, designed to empower and support those venturing into agriculture. The program served as an information hub, providing participants with valuable insights into various government schemes and their associated benefits.

The event witnessed the distinguished presence of AEO Hajin, Javid Ahmad, AEO Sumbal Rahila Basharat, JAEO Hajin Mir Hassan, Fayaz Ahmad JAEO, Parvaiz Ahmad from the Department of Horticulture, and other officials, alongside a vibrant assembly of students.

“Yuva Vani” emerges not only as a program but as a catalyst for change, igniting a renewed interest in agripreneurship among the youth of Hajin. This collaborative effort between the educational institution and government departments underscores the collective commitment to empower the younger generation, cultivating a landscape of sustainable rural development. The initiative reflects the dawn of a new era, where the seeds of agripreneurial success are sown in the minds of the educated youth, promising a harvest of prosperity for the community
