Water Quality Monitoring, E-billing, and Other Related Activities Showcased by PHE

*Srinagar, December 09:* As part of the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department launched a comprehensive awareness campaign directed by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad. The initiative aimed to disseminate awareness among rural communities and reach uncovered beneficiaries.

Stalls were set up at villages including Khonmoh A, B, C, Balhama A, Balhama B, Panzinara A, Panzinara B, Faqir Gujiri A, Faqir Gujiri B, Dara A, Dara B, Syedpora, Khimber, Theed A, Theed B, and Gandtal. These stalls addressed various issues related to Water Quality Monitoring, e-billing on the single-window system, and other activities associated with the Jal Shakti Department.

Appreciation letters (Abhinandan Patra) were distributed to Sarpanches and Pani Samiti members of each rural village in the Srinagar District.

As part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra campaign, short videos titled “(Meri Kahani Meri Zubani)” featured conversations with beneficiaries of the Jal Jeevan Mission. These beneficiaries shared their experiences regarding the benefits of various schemes under JJM, where water scarcity issues were addressed in their areas.
