Syed IrfanHashmi is a prominent emerging Socio-political activist of Jammu and Kashmir. He has also been in the field of career Consultancy since more than decade and has served the Ministry of IT Government of India for 2 Years as FI Head Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
He runs his own foundation for betterment of youth known as Inspire World Foundation and is among the founders of political party JK Awami Aawaz Party.
In an exclusive interview with Heaven Mail, IrfanHashmi talks to Rameez Makhdoomi.
How would you define life ?
Life is a beautiful journey that is meant to be embraced to the fullest every day. If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things. Life is unpredictable; the whole secret of successful life is to find out what is one’s destiny and to Plan, recognize, analyze and then to bring into action and finally do it.
How do you see youth of our society can handle their issues ?
This world has gone beyond humanity. I experienced many things in life, it has taught me many lessons; be there for everyone to the best possible extent , but be there for yourself first. If you don’t, you will never be fully and truly there for anyone else. So, be you first. Everything will happen for you all of a sudden and you will be thankful you didn’t give up. Time will take you where you need to be; have patience and trust your journey. Think always positive no matter how hard your life is. The best deed of a great man is to forgive and forget.
Tell us about your career Journey?
I have been in the career Consultancy field and social work since many years. I have started working with Voluntary Health Association of India in 2005. Worked with Oxford and many other reputed organizations as social Activist. I have worked in number of Career and Educational Projects mainly In Delhi and other state of India and now through my own organization Inspire World I am trying to overcome the biggest issues of Youth unemployment in the UT of J&K. Inspire World is working on the project LIVELIHOOD Program where we will provide free zoom trainings and will train the unemployed youth to earn 20000 monthly from the comfort of home. We aim to provide the free career counseling to the students of Jammu and Kashmir for the admission of any course in India and Abroad.
We also held awareness campaigns to aware our students about wide ranging career opportunities. We have been also instrumental in getting admission to youth of Kashmir in Prestigious national and global institutions.
How much is career awareness must ?
The expert pulse throughout national and global level has agreed that Career awareness is working toward developing a complete understanding of possible career fields and opportunities, factors that can influence a job’s outlook, your own personal strengths and preferences, and the education necessary to be successful. Career awareness these days is must for every student.
About your future goals?
We at Inspire World Foundation want to do more wide ranging philanthropic activities for humanity and also organize more career and Job fairs for the students .
What about your politics career?
It is going at a slow and steady pace. I have been among the founders of prominent youth party of Jammu and Kashmir known as Jammu and Kashmir Awami Aawaz. We have had scores of youth joining us from across Kashmir. Our focus is in future to contest urban body Municipal elections .
What do you feel are the biggest issues faced by masses in Jammu and Kashmir?
I believe the two most burning issues faced by people at large in Kashmir is the issue of often electricity cuts that makes life difficult especially in winters and the issue of ugly traffic Jams across Jammu and Kashmir which makes commuting from one place to another very difficult.
