Commissioner Secretary Dr. Rashmi Singh Facilitates Public Outreach in Manasbal

Ganderbal, Feb 26: As part of the government’s comprehensive public outreach and grievance redressal program, Dr. Rashmi Singh, Commissioner Secretary of Hospitality & Protocol, conducted a public darbar at Manasbal. The event witnessed active participation from the public, delegations, social workers, PRI members, and community representatives who presented a memorandum addressing various developmental and infrastructural issues in their respective areas.Deputy Commissioner Shyambir, SSP Sandeep Gupta, and other district officers attended the program. The public raised concerns about issues like construction of educational institutions, healthcare facilities, youth hostels, and cold stores. Various delegations highlighted concerns related to canal projects, ration stores, power cuts, employment opportunities, and land allotment for industries.DDC members and local representatives brought forward the developmental initiatives in their regions and sought resolution for the issues raised by the public. The Deputy Commissioner assured that the raised issues would be prioritized and addressed in consultation with concerned departments.Dr. Rashmi Singh appreciated the district administration for achieving saturation under various public welfare schemes and acknowledged the success stories shared by beneficiaries, especially youth involved in local arts. She emphasized the importance of public darbars in understanding grassroots-level issues and ensuring immediate relief.The Commissioner Secretary urged stakeholder departments to assess the feasibility of the raised demands for incorporation into the development plan. She also visited stalls set up by various departments to showcase their products and schemes. Dr. Rashmi Singh showed keen interest in local products, especially those crafted by women entrepreneurs from various SHGs.On the occasion, awareness about domestic violence was raised by the District Legal Services Authority, emphasizing the protection of women’s rights guaranteed under the constitution. The public darbar served as a platform for direct interaction, addressing grievances, and ensuring the effective implementation of developmental plans.
