Shabnum Fayaz Pulwama, Feb 26: Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board, spearheaded the inauguration and foundation stone-laying ceremony for various projects in Pulwama district. Among the notable projects were the newly constructed Jamia Masjid at Newa, the Kakapora Shopping Complex, and the foundation stone-laying for the Hazrat Mehda Bab Rishi (RA) Complex at Kakapora.The Jamia Masjid in Newa, initiated on Dr. Andrabi’s initiative, marked a significant development after three decades. The Chairperson also emphasized the positive changes in the work culture of the Waqf Board since 2022, highlighting transparency, accountability, and enhanced public engagement in governance.During her address, Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi underscored the transformation witnessed in Jammu & Kashmir under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She expressed the Board’s commitment to utilizing funds from shrines and properties for meaningful projects, upgrading facilities at various shrines.
