DC Srinagar Inspects Ongoing Developmental Projects Across the City

BuzzBytes Srinagar, January 01: The Deputy Commissioner(DC), Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, conducted a whirlwind tour of the city to inspect and oversee the progress of various developmental projects. Accompanied by key officials, he examined works on Tankipora Bridge, Darish Kadal Bridge, Footpath near Aiwa Bridge, and a Skill Development & Rehabilitation Centre for Youth affected by Substance Abuse. The DC also appraised ongoing projects under the National Clean Air Programme at SKIMS Soura, Amar Singh College, and Hazratbal.

The second span of Tankipora Bridge is nearing completion, with over 95% of the work done. The DC urged timely completion by January 10, 2024, for smooth traffic flow. He also directed the acceleration of Darish Kadal Bridge construction, aiming for completion by June 2024. Additionally, progress on the footpath near Aiwa Bridge and a Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Centre was examined.

The visit emphasized the commitment to timely and efficient execution of key projects, enhancing infrastructure and public facilities in Srinagar.
