In a significant move aimed at addressing long-standing community demands, Dr. Shamshad Shan, Chairperson of the District Development Council (DDC), Ramban, inaugurated the construction of a vital link road in the Gool Sub-Division.
The Chairperson ceremoniously commenced the construction of the 1 km Jabba Zahrat to Hara Gali link road, a pivotal project funded under the Area Development Fund of DDC, with an allocated budget of Rs. 1.98 lakh.
During her visit, Dr. Shamshad Shan meticulously inspected the progress of ongoing road projects under the Rural Development Department (RDD) at Nar Mohallah and Chawcha in Sangaldan. Additionally, she assessed proposed sites for upcoming developmental initiatives in the Gool block.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Shamshad Shan highlighted the transformative impact of the project, expressing confidence that its completion would fulfill a longstanding aspiration of the local community, significantly improving their quality of life.
Emphasizing the importance of quality and timely completion, the Chairperson directed RDD Engineers to uphold construction standards, ensuring the project’s timely fruition for the benefit of the area’s residents.
Dr. Shamshad Shan also urged elected Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) members to actively oversee the execution of work, guaranteeing adherence to quality standards and timely completion of all developmental projects. She emphasized the pivotal role of PRIs in facilitating the implementation of youth and beneficiary-oriented schemes in their respective areas.
Interacting with the local populace, the Chairperson attentively listened to their developmental concerns, reiterating her commitment to addressing the community’s needs.
