In a significant collaboration, the Division of Agricultural Statistics, Faculty of Horticulture, SKUAST-Kashmir, and the Department of Statistics & Institution Innovation Council (IIC) at Govt. Degree College Sumbal, Bandipora, have launched a transformative One Week Entrepreneurship Skill Development Program. Sponsored by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, the program is set to run from December 27 to January 01.

The program’s focus on “Inferential & Predictive Statistics for Business, and Data Driven Decision Making with R” underscores its commitment to equipping students with practical skills essential for entrepreneurial success.

Dr. Bhagyashree Dhekale, Assistant Professor at SKUAST-K, emphasized the program’s aims and objectives during the inaugural address, highlighting its crucial role in shaping the career development of the participating students.

Prof. (Dr.) Shabeena Iqbal Shawl, the Principal of GDC Sumbal, echoed the importance of such workshops for the students of UT of J&K in her presidential address. She expressed gratitude to SKUAST K for selecting GDC Sumbal as the venue for this impactful training program and pledged full support for future endeavors.

The inaugural session, attended by registered participants, was smoothly conducted by Dr. Fahim Ul Hassan, Assistant Professor of Social Work at GDC Sumbal. Dr. Hilal Ah. Wani, Convener of the IIC Committee, GDC Sumbal, provided technical support to ensure the success of the workshop.

This collaborative initiative is poised to empower the youth of J&K by imparting essential entrepreneurial skills, fostering a culture of innovation and decision-making rooted in data. The organizers are optimistic about the positive impact this program will have on the participants’ future endeavors.
