Shopian, February 14, 2024: In an effort to ensure efficient service delivery and promptly address public grievances, the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) of Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone, led a mega Block Diwas program at Imam Sahib block. Residents from various localities, including Hendew, Wadipora, Kadigam, Aadakharan, Wasohalan, DK Pora, and Losedenow, presented their concerns related to road connectivity, irrigation Khuls’ cleanliness, portable drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, lane repairs, drain maintenance, and waste dumping sites.The ADDC attentively listened to the issues and directed the respective officers to address the genuine grievances in a time-bound manner. Seeking feedback from the line departments, he emphasized the importance of transparent, accountable, and public-friendly administration, ensuring that officers are accessible to the public.Dr. Nasir highlighted that the Block Diwas initiative aims to provide responsive governance, reaching out to unreached habitations, and resolving issues on the spot at people’s doorsteps. He assured that every effort will be made to meet public expectations and address genuine concerns promptly. The program saw the participation of Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Tehsildar Barbugh, Block Development Officer Imam Sahib, and other officials.
