Secretary Transport, G. Prasanna Ramaswamy, conducted an extensive road safety inspection of NH-44 in Ramban on December 23. The initiative aimed to ensure strict enforcement of road safety measures, particularly focusing on public transport passenger vehicles.

Engaging directly with passengers, Secretary Ramaswamy sought feedback on their travel experiences, placing paramount emphasis on the road safety measures adopted by passenger vehicles. He examined emergency exits, ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers during their journeys. Proactively enquiring about driving practices, Ramaswamy emphasized the importance of attentive and secure driving.

The Secretary reviewed the current status of accidents and their causes on National Highway and other link roads in the district. Directing the Senior Superintendent of Police, NHW, Ramban, and ARTO Ramban to implement road safety measures, Ramaswamy emphasized a holistic vision to control road accidents and prioritize passenger safety.
