Div Com Kashmir Directs Development Measures for Rakh-I Arth Housing Colony Bemina

Arsheed Bhat Srinagar, Feb 26: Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, chaired a meeting to address developmental issues in the Rakh-I Arth Housing Colony in Bemina, Srinagar. The meeting included officials from various departments, such as the Commissioner of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Vice Chairman of SDA, Secretary of LCMA, and others.During the meeting, officials provided updates on ongoing developmental projects in the colony, covering areas such as education, healthcare, parks, water supply, electricity, roads, and sanitation. The school building was reported as completed, set to be operational from the upcoming session.In terms of water supply, it was mentioned that the area is currently served by the Sukhnag water supply scheme, and efforts are underway to further improve water supply through tube wells. The electricity situation is also set to improve following the submission of a DPR reappraisal.For sanitation, the SMC was directed to issue a tender for Solid Waste Management to ensure cleanliness in the area.Addressing concerns about encroachments, the Div Com directed immediate action for their removal. The meeting aimed at streamlining development initiatives for the overall improvement of the Rakh-I Arth Housing Colony in Bemina.
